I’ve been telling people I was on old YouTube

I’ve been making videos since 2002
And of course all the while they knew that I was lying

I went to goodwill and I bought some khakis
A New York yankees hat
Even though I can see the lights from Fenway
From my appartement
Though the people in line to Taco Bell Woodstock will never know
I’m not making a split album with the 40 year old folk artists in dumbo

The objective truth of the true story
Of this folk career
I’ve learned so much from writing
Made up songs about made up things about real life people that wake up and go to sleep every day
