I am a minister
Prophesizing revelations as populations align
And I am the catalyst of devotion
But not ramshackle reportage of a silent demise
And the misanthropes cry out in terror
Asking heaven for reprieve
But their solace in impassible
Merely a tenant of belief

Cause I have faith that I'll be saved
But I don't know why I am this way
Calculating maps with a breakneck urgency
To find some desolate avenue to eternity

Arithmetic assumptions
Sigils of a galloping denouement
But I've found solitude in my padded room
Looked on by stained glass halcyon
Tapered solemn robes of black
And plaintitive hymns of obstinacy
But I'm sure there's a dangling Eden
through all this stagnant reverie

As the disciples congregate inside
The echo chamber of belief
Entombed in their asylum, swaddled in their creed
New-age apostasy
And as the chalice rises to the bridge between their hollowed wandering eyes
Dissolution of autonomy through a blanket compromise
Independence perverted and resigned
